Short biography:
I first tried archery, as an adult, in 2015 with a youth bow that had a draw length 3 inches too short. I instantly shot a great group of arrows and realized this may be something I’m very good at. I decided to purchase affordable basic entry level archery equipment in the beginning to try things out. I bought a Bear Cruzer. I started competing in 3D shoots along with my boyfriend. I took home the silver medal at my very first shoot, in the Senior Women’s Hunter category, and was “hooked”. I moved up to the Compound Fixed Pin category and continued to see success. In 2017, I bought an Elite Victory 37, and moved up to the Compound Unlimited division, and then into Known 50. In 2021, I upgraded to a Mathews TRX 34 and continue to find success with this bow. I have found myself at the top of the podium at Saskatchewan Provincials, National Events, and a variety of other big events in Alberta. I try to attend as many shoots around Saskatchewan as possible, and have been travelling to other events to be able to shoot in more competitive situations. I really enjoy the competitive nature in larger events and thrive in stressful shoot off situations.
