Austin is a member of the Fernie Rod and Gun Club and is coached by Kevin Evans. He has been involved in archery for 14 years, with the last 2 years focused on competitive shooting. His top accomplishments include being a National Outdoor Target Champion, BC Indoor Provincial Champion (with a new provincial record), and Canada West Champion. Austin’s goal is to podium at the World Championships and pursue a professional career in archery. Outside of archery, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and hunting, and is considering a future in the trades—possibly in welding—after high school.
