Archery Canada is now accepting applications from qualified judges wishing to officiate at the 2019 Canada Games. All judge applicants will be considered, based not only on experience, but also from the perspective of the development of Canadian archery.

Judging Expenses

Only those that live over 100 km from the Host City are eligible to have travel and accommodations covered. Additionally, all Major Technical Officials (MTOs), including those who live within 100 km of the Host City, will be eligible for a meal per diem of $60 per day or meals provided at the venue. Canada Games Indigenous Officials Mentorship

The Canada Games Indigenous Mentorship Program – Officials (IMPO), a collaboration between the Canada Games Council and the Aboriginal Sport Circle, will bring indigenous officials from across Canada to the Canada Games for a once in a lifetime opportunity for observation and mentorship with National Sport Organization certified technical officials. Judges selected to the 2019 Canada Games may be selected to be part of this pilot program as mentors.

The pilot program will strive to deliver on the following objectives:

• Grow officiating capacity within indigenous communities;
• Provide indigenous officials with domestic multi sport games exposure;
• Provide indigenous officials with professional development;
• Expose indigenous officials to national and international level officials;
• Create meaningful opportunities for PTASBs, PTSOs and NSOs to collaborate

Selection Process

The Archery Canada Judging Committee will review all applications and nominate judges to the Officials Team for the 2019 Canada Games. Nominations to the Officials Team will be approved the Archery Canada Development Committee at the end of August, after which all judges named to Officials Teams will be notified.
