Introducing our new Program Coordinator – Priyanka Dhanie

Archery Canada is excited to welcome our newest staff member, Priyanka Dhanie, in the role of Program Coordinator. Ms. Dhanie will begin in her new role on November 1st. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the High-Performance Manager (HPM) with logistical and administrative support to the high-performance programs and sport development projects. In her new role, Priyanka will also work in close collaboration with our Judging and Events sub-committees and volunteers in the implementation and evaluation of these programs. We are excited to have her join our team.
Priyanka is a graduate of the University of the West Indies Sport Sciences Program with first class honors and is in the process of finishing her Masters in Sport & Recreation Studies through the University of New Brunswick. She has already a passion for the sport as a recent competitive compound target archer from Trinidad and Tobago, having represented her country on several occasions in regional tournaments including the Central American and Caribbean Games. This dedication to archery has served as a foundation for a commitment to developing the sport and has been the focus of her post-graduate research.
Through her academic pursuits and previous work history she has gained a background in strength & conditioning, exercise physiology as well as sport psychology and honed a depth of organizational and communication skills. In her undergraduate program, Priyanka was the recipient of academic awards from her university in recognition of her “exceptional assortment of accomplishments in both sport and academics” and is well respected by her professors for her drive and passion for the sport. She looks forward to contributing to Archery Canada’s success and our role in shaping the future of archery in Canada.
We are very pleased to have her become a member of our team.
