Field Archery creates a a multi-target course, often through wooded areas, or fields, that has archers complete each target, that is set at varying distances, and incorporates the local terrain into the complexity of the shot. On the international stage, the style of bows use are Compound, Recurve, and Barebow. In Canadian Championships, longbow, Compound Unlimited, Compound Fixed Pins, Hunter and instinctive bow are also contested.
2024 Canadian Field Championships
The 2024 Canadian Field Championships will be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick from August 6 to 7, 2024.

Archery Canada is the national sport governing body for Archery in Canada, including all aspects of High-Performance (recurve and compound), 3D, and Field archery as well as those new to archery. Among its responsibilities, the association selects and prepares Canada’s teams that participate in international competitions including Continental Championships, World Championships and major multi-sport Games (ie. Olympic Games).
