New Program Coordinator for Compound Target Programs
Archery Canada is pleased to announce that Ryan Van Berkel has accepted a contract to lead Canada’s Compound Target Archery program as the Program Coordinator. The appointment represents an important step in advancing the strategic direction that has been set for the Compound program by the Board of Directors. Ryan will assume these duties in addition to those of his role as Para Coordinator. The Compound Target Program Coordinator will be working closely with Kylah Cawley, Program Manager, with further guidance from the High Performance Director, Alan Brahmst.
For the past 5 years, Sean McKenty has occupied the volunteer role of non-Olympic program coordinator, a role that grew from its original mandate. Archery Canada has greatly appreciated the dedication of Sean in this role and the work he has done to manage the selection process and related communications to the program athletes and coaches. Sean will continue to volunteer and be part of the HPC in the role of Field and Barebow Coordinator, contributing to strategies to further develop and support these disciplines. This role will also provide guidance over Master categories where necessary when athletes need to be selected to represent Canada.
