Taylor Klimchuk awarded WW Gunter Memorial Bursary

OTTAWA, ON – Archery Canada is excited to announce the 2022 recipient of the WW Gunter Memorial Bursary, Taylor Klimchuk.

Ms. Klimchuk is an archer out of Manitoba and had her first higher level competition experience at the 2018 Manitoba Winter Games. At this event, she shot her way to two bronze medals (individual and mixed team compound). Her trajectory hasn’t stopped, from provincial to international competition. Just a few examples include the Vegas Shoot in the years from 2019 to 2021 and the ISAA Pro-Am in 2020.

The WW Gunter Memorial Bursary is awarded annually by the Canadian Archery Foundation to a Canadian archer between the ages of 15 and 20, who has competed or will be competing for Canada at a World Championship or international archery competition, such as the Youth Olympic Games, and who has plans to pursue a post-secondary education. Most importantly, the archer must conduct themselves in a manner that is a credit to their sport, their country and always maintain a sense of dignity and sportsmanship in victory and defeat.

Congratulations Taylor!
