I’m Bailey Mathers, I am a competitive archer from Manitoba and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to represent Canada at an international competition once again! It’s always an honour to represent your country, and I’m ecstatic that this time will be in my hometown! I train at the 17 Wing Archery Range and have been shooting for six years, competing for five. This will be my fourth time representing Canada internationally, and one of my proudest moments so far was placing fourth in the individual event at the 2024 Youth Pan Am Championships in San Salvador, El Salvador. I’m so lucky and beyond grateful to have so much support from my parents, and to be able to have Brandon Petersen as my coach. His support and guidance has helped me overcome some major obstacles and grow so much as an athlete. My main goals at the moment are to execute my shots to the best of my ability at the 2025 Youth World Championships, and to keep pushing myself, both in practice, and at every future event in my archery career.
