The Archery Canada Annual Awards are intended to recognize those volunteers, archers, coaches and judges who have excelled at a level above that of Provincial awards. These awards are not intended to replace those which may be awarded by a province. These awards are intended to show a progression in volunteerism, coaching, judging, management, and shooting from provincial to national level. Specific criteria have been established for each award and these are circulated to the membership with the nomination call.
Annual Awards Nomination Process
Archery Canada’s annual awards recognize individuals and organizations for outstanding contributions to the sport.
Nominations for Archery Canada’s annual awards reflect national‐level significance and are intended to originate from national or provincial/territorial leadership. Eligible nominators include members of an Archery Canada Committee, members of the Archery Canada Board of Directors (representing a province or territory), members of a Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization (PTSO) Board of Directors (representing a province or territory), and Archery Canada staff. Nominations from individual registrants will be reviewed by appropriate committee for endorsement.
How it works:
A call for nominations goes out in the first quarter of the year and reviewed by the appropriate committee or the Athlete Council. Valid nominations are considered by the Archery Canada Board of Directors, which selects award recipients or may choose not to present an award in a given year.
Announcement & presentation:
Award recipients are announced through a national press release and Archery Canada’s social media. Awards may be mailed or presented in person.
