Archery Canada is incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (S.C. 2009, c. 23) and bound to its requirements. The Board leads the National Governing Body in the pursuit of the realization of its vision and the fulfillment of its mission with staff who manage the activities of the organization in any particular area or on a day-to-day basis.   

The Board of Directors of Archery Canada (AC) is guided by the following principles in how it governs its affairs: 

1. There is a clear distinction between the responsibilities of the board and those of staff
2. Archery Canada has board structures and processes that enable it to govern and oversee the growth of the sport in an effective and professional manner
3. Archery Canada’s relationships with its members and governing organizations reflect accountability, alignment, responsiveness, transparency, and clarity in communications

The Board of directors meet at a minimum, four times per year, twice in person and twice via teleconference and are elected for a term of 4 years as set out in Archery Canada’s By-Laws [link to bylaws page]
