Canada Cup East and Canada Cup West Set to Bring Top Archers Together Next June

Ottawa, ON – November 4, 2025 — Archery Canada is pleased to announce that the 2026 Canada Cup East and Canada Cup West events have been confirmed, continuing these annual outdoor target competitions bringing together Canada’s top target archers for high-level national competition.

  • Canada Cup West will take place June 5–7 in Cranbrook, British Columbia, hosted by the Cranbrook Archery Club at the Moir Park Soccer Facility.
  • Canada Cup East will be held June 19–21 in Ottawa, Ontario, hosted at the Twin Elm Rugby Park.

Registration for both events will open on March 1, 2026.

“These competitions have become cornerstones of Canada’s outdoor target season, offering opportunities for both emerging and elite athletes to test themselves in a high-performance environment,” according to Archery Canada’s Executive Director, Karl Balisch. “We’re thrilled to see continued growth and strong community support on both sides of the country.”

Hosting in Cranbrook marks a new phase in expanding the sport’s western presence, being the first time such a national target competition will be held in this part of British Columbia. “Our club is proud to welcome Canada’s best archers back to Cranbrook,” said Chris Mummery, President of the Cranbrook Archery Club. “The Moir Park venue offers an exceptional setting for competition, and we’re excited to share our community’s enthusiasm for the sport.”

Meanwhile, the arrival of the Canada Cup East to Ottawa underscores the city’s strong sporting tradition. “The XQuest Archery Club welcomes this opportunity to host the Canada Cup East, welcoming Canada’s archers to this, one of Archery Canada’s premier events, held for the first time in Ottawa; this is a proud moment for our club and, with our partners, we stand ready to deliver the highest standard of competition,” according to Marie-France Dufour, representing the Canada Cup East Organizing Committee.

The Canada Cup series serves as a key step in Canada’s outdoor competition pathway, helping athletes prepare for national championships and international qualification events. Both tournaments are open to senior, U21 and U18 athletes across recurve, compound, and barebow categories from across Canada and member countries of World Archery Americas.
