The Canada Cup West is held in the Western Provinces and/or Territories of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon Territory and Northwest Territories. It is held annually, from May to Mid-June, and includes a 720 round, an elimination round  and mixed team competition.

It encourages competition for the Master, Senior, Junior, and Cadet Classes, in all Archery Canada and World Archery recognized target divisions, Recurve, Compound and Barebow.

The 2024 Canada Cup West will be hosted in Winnipeg, Manitoba from June 7-9, 2024.

The Canada Cups were developed to:

• Serve as a celebration of the sport of Archery and its community
• Provide an athlete centered environment that enables competitive personal best performances
• Potentially serve as one of the recognized criteria for International event selection and Athlete and coach identification
• Provide an opportunity for developing archers to participate in team rounds

The Canada Cup West consists of one (1) 720 Target qualification round, Individual Match Play, and Mixed Team Match Play. The 720 Qualification round will be used to determine the archers qualifying positions for Individual Elimination Matchplay, as well as their team rank for the Team Match Play.

In addition to the Canada Cup events, the Local Host Organizing Committee will be hosting two additional events. Those are the “Optional 720” which is open to all archers, and the CanWest Youth Cup, a U15 exclusive event. The CanWest Youth Cup will offer a ranking round on the evening of Friday June 7, followed by single elimination matchplay on Saturday June 8th.

We look forward to welcoming you this weekend in Winnipeg. Yesterday an email was sent to all registered participants of the Canada Cup West. If you did not receive this email you can view the email online at https://mailchi.mp/cec6c9f4ac11/2023-canada-cup-west-participant-information-informations-pour-les-participants-la-coupe-canada-ouest-12766945?e=[UNIQID]

The local organizers would like to advise that while the weekend weather forecast is looking largely clear, Winnipeg has been experiencing rain this past week. As a result, the field of play for the competition is expected to be still damp in portions. The LOC is taking steps to reduce the impact of this on your competition, however would like you to be aware and to have appropriate footwear available should you feel it necessary.
