Short Biography:

I started liking archery when my elementary school got to try shooting for fun on a field trip. I thought it was an interesting sport and wondered if it were possible to further my skill in it, so my mom found lessons about 45 minutes from home. I began shooting and gradually developed my skill, even competing in a few local tournaments until the local team caught my eye and invited me on. From there I was spotted by a program that trains athletes at a national level after placing third in my first ever nationals in PEI of 2022. I then competed at a few provincials as well as USATS, which is where I met my current coach, Tiffany. Shooting actually helps me write my poetry and other works, since it’s such a mental based sport you spend a lot of time in your own head, and so as I go through the motions of shooting I’m able to play around with and write stanzas of poetry which I then write down afterwards.
