2 Canadian archers heading to Korea for second stage of 2022 World Cup

GWANGJU, KR – The second leg of the 2022 Hyundai World Cup is happening from May 16-22, 2022. It will be the first international competition of the 2022 season for the Canadian national squad. Two archers are going to represent Canada on the range in Gwangju, Republic of Korea.
Stephanie Barrett and Eric Peters will be representing Canada in the woman and man recurve categories, respectively. Shawn Riggs, National Recurve Coach, will accompany them to the competition. It will kick off with qualification, in the form of a 720 round. After the athletes have been ranked based on their qualifying score, they will head into the matches where it becomes a single elimination competition.
The first stage of the 2022 World Cup happened in Antalya, Turkey last month. Following Korea, the World Cup will travel to Paris, France and then Medellin, Colombia. The finals for the World Cup will occur in Tlaxcala, Mexico, where the winners and highest-ranking archers from all four stages will face to determine the 2022 World Cup Champion.
