4. 2015 World Youth Archery Championships: Statement from World Archery
World Archery has had some inquiries from teams in relation to the dates of the World Archery
Youth Championships since the month of June is not ideal for them. We regret to inform that no
other date is possible neither for World Archery nor for the event's organiser since the 2015
calendar is simply full.
We understand that certain member associations will have to make choices but it just not
possible to fit four world championships (including Olympic/Paralympic qualifiers), three
continental games, the Universiades, four world cup stages and a final, the Olympic test event
and several continental grand prix and championships within five months.
As a reminder, the dates of multisport events are fixed without World Archery consultation. We
also have to guarantee the quality of the events and make sure that we staff and equipment are
available to run it.
In consultation with other International Federations, who face the same issue, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) we are looking to see how changes can be made to the competition calendar in the future to make sure that in 2019 we do not face the same or even a worse situation since the Asian Games will be held in that year as well. The IOC has established a working group on the international calendar.

8. 2015 Archery Canada Indoor Mail Match Program
It is that time of year to start thinking about getting organized to take part in the 2015 Archery Canada Indoor Mail Match Program. See how you rank against other archers across Canada.
The 2015 Indoor Mail Match Program will take place over 12 to 13 weeks from January 1st to March 31st.Archers may submit up to 12 (or 13) scores during this time period. The round shot is the Canadian 300 round (no inner ten).
Your best 6 scores obtained over the 12-13 weeks of the Program will be used to calculate your ranking in your age/equipment/ category. At the end of the Mail Match Program only the top 6 scores will be used to calculate the average score for each archer. As long as 6 scores are received before the March 31st deadline you can be involved.
The Indoor Mail Match is like two competitions in one….first archer’s average scores will be ranked according to Archery Canada / World Archery categories where gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded. Second, archers still have a chance to win a gold medal if they place first in their category and have not won a gold medal under the Archery Canada category (these can be found under the Indoor Mail Match Rules).
Clubs, please use the tally sheet from the website to be sure it is the latest version of the tally sheet.

Good luck and all the best to those competing!

Indoor Target Scoring
Effective May 2014

o ALL categories (divisions and age classes) shooting a compound style bow now use the compound (inner 10) target scoring the inner 10 ring as 10 and the remainder of the yellow as 9.
· Scoring ONLY the Canadian 300 Round
o ALL categories use the combined inner/outer ring targets and score X – 10 – 9
o this is most relevant to the Mail Match competition which uses the Canadian 300 Round.
Division updates
Effective 01 January 2015
· Divisions name changes – these do not affect the equipment division requirements
o Compound Unlimited Division (CUnl) is now the name of the former Bowhunter Open Division
o Compound Fixed Pins Division (CFP) is now the name of the former Bowhunter Release Division
o Compound Fingers Division (CF) is now the name of the former Bowhunter Fingers Division
· Hunter Division is again recognized as a developmental division. Hunter is not recognized at Championship events.
o Competitors shooting the Hunter configuration are encouraged to shoot Championships in the Compound Fixed Pins Division that uses almost identical equipment
o Hunter Division now includes the former Hunter Fingers Division
· Recurve Division is now recognized as a developmental division welcome to participate in 3D events. Recurve is not recognized at 3D Championship events.
o Competitors shooting the Recurve configuration are encouraged to shoot 3D Championships in the Barebow Division that uses similar equipment without sights or stabilizers

· Common Divisions for all disciplines
o Without equipment changes or category name changes, it is easier to register for participation in all disciplines – 3D, Target and Field
