Archery Canada’s Members Meeting
MONTREAL, QC – Archery Canada’s recent two-day meeting in Montreal proved to be a pivotal event, bringing together the organization’s Board of Directors, staff, and representatives from across Canada. The agenda was packed with vital discussions aimed at driving the sport forward on multiple fronts.
One of the primary focuses was on enhancing the retention of girls and women in archery. Insightful presentations from Canadian Women & Sport laid the groundwork for strategies to achieve this goal. The commitment to inclusivity was further emphasized through a comprehensive Gender Lens Debrief and Action Planning session, fostering a collaborative approach to address gender disparities within the sport.

Another significant aspect of the meeting was the discussions surrounding the evolution of the National Coaching Pathway and the introduction of a new curriculum. These initiatives highlight Archery Canada’s dedication to advancing coaching standards nationwide.
Simultaneously, attention was directed towards refining the National Events in Canada strategy. Exploring the integration of technology in high-performance training and ensuring alignment with the Canadian Sport Governance Code were also key points of discussion.
From youth development programs to overarching governance principles, the meeting exemplified a holistic approach to nurturing archery’s growth and accessibility across the country. It was a gathering marked by collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to propelling archery forward on all fronts.
