Cape Breton to host the 2022 Canadian 3D Indoor Championships
OTTAWA, ON — The Canadian 3D Indoor Championships is heading to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 2022. The Championships will take place April 1st-3rd 2022.
“We are excited to be in Cape Breton it will be the first time in over a decade that the event has been east of Manitoba.”, says Aaron Bull, VP-3D, “The event will be a great opportunity for the local community to host archers from across the country and showcase the hospitality the region is known for.” The Canadian 3D Indoor Championships, has been primarily hosted in the Western Provinces since it’s inauguration.
The 2022 Canadian 3D Indoors Championships will bring approximately more than 100 archers from across the country to the Joan Harris Pavilion and Centre 200 in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
“Cape Breton Regional Municipality is excited to welcome Canada’s best archers to Cape Breton in 2022. Our island is home to a strong archery community and we are happy to be working with the local clubs and Destination Cape Breton to host the 3D Indoor National Championships.” said Kirk Durning of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. “We believe this event will leave a legacy for the sport locally, and our community and hospitality will leave a lasting impression on all those who travel to attend.”
The 3D Indoor Championships will be open to the following equipment and age categories:
- Barebow – Senior Classes only
- Instinctive – Senior Classes only
- Longbow – Senior Classes Only
- Known 50 – Senior Classes Only
- Hunter – Senior Classes Only
- Compound Fixed Pins – Senior Classes Only
- Compound Unlimited – All Age Classes
- Traditional – Master, Junior, Cadet, Cub and Pre-Cub Classes

Archery Canada is currently working in collaboration with the Lakeland Archers on find a potential date for the 2021 3D Indoor Championships. Further information on this event will be provided when available.
