Eleanor Brug and Chris Kent-Rodgman selected for 2025 World Games team

OTTAWA, ON – Archery Canada is pleased to announce that Eleanor Brug (Vancouver, BC) and Chris Kent-Rodgman (Saskatoon, SK) have been selected to represent Canada at the 2025 World Games, taking place in Chengdu, China from August 7 to 17, 2025.
The quotas were earned at the 2024 World Field Championships on home soil in Lac La Biche. Eleanor Brug will be shooting in the Field Archery Recurve Women category and Chris Kent-Rodgman will be competing in the Field Archery Barebow Men category.
Brug is an up and coming recurve archer on the Canadian and international scene having attended the World Archery Field Championships last year and then earning a team bronze medal at the Pan American Outdoor Championships in 2022. Kent-Rodgman will be attending his second international competition in Chengdu, having shot for Canada at the same World Field Championships as Brug.
“I could not be more excited for the opportunity to represent Canada at these Games, which are very difficult to qualify for,” says Kent-Rodgman. “Amazing things are happening with Canadian archers right now and we are becoming a persistent force. I’ll jump at every opportunity to compete with the best in the world, and prove not only that we deserve to be there but have the ability to get to the top. This is a major milestone event that I am honoured to carry the flag into and represent the hard work of my teammates across the country.”
This is the 12th edition of the World Games, hosting both field and target archery, as well as a host of other sports not traditionally featured on the Olympic programme.
