Archery Canada seeking indoor facility to host Pan Am Championships Selection Camp

Archery Canada will be holding a selection camp to determine the team of Recurve female athletes to compete at the Pan-American Championships in Monterey, Mexico in March 2020. The Pan American Championship will also provide an opportunity for Canadian women to qualify an individual quota spot for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Archery Canada is seeking an indoor facility that will be capable of hosting the selection camp based on the requirements set out below. The running of the event, including registration, will be managed by Archery Canada. A person from the host club will be required to be onsite an hour before and up to an hour after to help assist with any facility related issues. The Host will also supply volunteers to assist with hosting the event. Archery Canada will pay $250 per day to the host club for the use of facilities.

Facility Requirements:

  • 70m Distance, plus additional space for athletes and equipment
  • Target Butts to accommodate up to 12 female recurve archers
  • Scoring Clock or TV with Google Chromecast. 

Archery Canada will provide the required paper targets. 

Dates:

  • Sunday Feb 23rd 2020, 12:00pm – 4:00 pm
  • Monday Feb 24th 2020, 9:00am – 3:00 pm

*Archers may want access to shoot on Saturday Feb 22nd 2020. All athletes will cover any corresponding costs for the Saturday, personally.
