Call for nominations for 2019 Annual Awards

It is that time of year again when Archery Canada recognizes those Archery Canada volunteers and athletes making an outstanding contribution to archery at the national and/or international level. The Archery Canada Annual Awards are intended to recognize those volunteers, archers, coaches and judges who have excelled at a level above that of Provincial awards. These awards show a progression in volunteerism, coaching, judging, management, and shooting from provincial to national level. The 2019 Archery Canada Annual Awards will be announced and presented at the 2020 Canadian Outdoor Championships awards banquet in Prince Edward Island, July 25th, 2020.
This year, Archery Canada is pleased to introduce a new award, the Peter Garrett 3D Archery Award. Peter was Canada’s first 3D Archery World Championships Gold medalist and longtime builder for the sport, working with Ontario Archers Association and Archery Canada. This new annual award is intended to recognize achievements in 3D Archery, recognizing an archer for international excellence every 2nd year (beginning with the 2019 season) and recognizing a builder in 3D archery every other year. The award does not have to be awarded each year, but the order will always be respected such that athletes are recognized in the year following the 3D World Championships.
The full list of the award categories and the criteria are provided below. A full listing of previous recipients is available on the Archery Canada website: https://archerycanada.ca/about-us/awards/
Nominations are to be submitted by WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8TH, 2019 5PM EASTERN TIME.
