Ottawa, ON – The national para archery team will be back in action at two (2) upcoming events, with the Para World Series stop in Santiago, Chile, followed immediately by the Parapan Am Championships in
Peru.

The Para World Series will see the team prepare for the Parapan am Championships in Lima, where Parapan Am Games quotas will be on the line. Additionally, the event in Chile will mark Chad McCormack, of Charlottetown PEI, first international event, and team event with the Para team. McCormack, who began shooting competitively in 2025, will be joining the team in pursuit of international classification status, and hopes of securing a spot on the 2027 Para Development or High Performance teams.

As per the selection addendum, selection for the Parapan Am Championships was only open to athletes named to the 2026 Para Development or High Performance teams. The following athletes will travel direct to Lima following the Para World Series in Chile, to compete at the Parapan American Championships:

With the Parapan American Championships occurring in Lima, Peru, merely days after the closing of the Para World Series, provides the athletes attending both events a chance to test their strategies for the
2027 season. In 2027, the Para National team will compete at the Parapan American Games in Peru, and immediately travel to the Gold Coast of Australia for the Para World Championships.

The team will be supported at this event by Paralympic Head Coach, Linda Price (Mission, B.C.) and Junior Bolanos acting as team support. High Performance Manager, Kylah Cawley, will be in attendance as the Team Manager
