Canada’s Compound archer, Jamie Brehaut, of Lethbridge AB, set to compete at Shanghai World Cup

OTTAWA, ON – Jamie Brehaut of Lethbridge, AB will kickstart Canada’s compound archery season  at the Shanghai World Cup, as the first international activity for Canada’s Compound Archery team. The Shanghai World Cup will be Jamie Brehaut’s first career World Cup event.

“After a lot of training and hard work to make the team, I am excited to represent Canada at my first World Cup event in Shanghai.” said Jamie. “It will be a good experience to enter the World Stage in Shanghai”

Shanghai is the second stop, on the World Cup circuit, following Medellin, where Canada’s recurve archers began their season. Following Shanghai, there will be two more World Cup stops, in Antalya Turkey, and then Berlin, with the World Championships being held in s’Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, where a full Compound team will be in attendance. The season will wrap up with the World Cup Final.

At this time, the host of the 2019 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final has not been announced, though this announcement is expected soon from World Archery.

The winner of each stop in the circuit earns an automatic ticket to the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final.
