New Leadership Elected at World Archery Americas Congress

July 2nd, 2026 – Delegates at the 2026 World Archery Americas Congress elected a new  Executive Board and committee members to guide the continental federation through the next Term.

María Emma Gaviria (Colombia) was elected President, while Gabriel Ramos (Mexico) was chosen as Vice President.

Three candidates were elected to the Council:

  • Aaron Bull (Canada)
  • Kevin D’Amour (Virgin Islands)
  • Oscar García (Costa Rica)

The Governance and Finance Oversight Committee will consist of:

  • Mary Emmons (United States)
  • Carolina Morales Espino (Guatemala)
  • Alba Santos (Ecuador)
  • María Isabel Vargas (Costa Rica)

Elected to the Constitution and Rules Committee were:

  • Randall Jones (Canada)
  • Estanislao Osores (Argentina)

The Development Committee will include:

  • Junior Bolaños (Canada)
  • Derek Davis (United States)
  • Miguel Ángel Flores (México)

The Judges Committee members elected were:

  • Natalia Londoño (Colombia)
  • Andrew Neville (United States)

For the Medical and Sports Sciences Committee, delegates elected:

  • Aaron Bull (Canada)
  • Eddie Icaza (Ecuador)
  • Jennifer Laux (United States)

The Para Archery Committee will be represented by:

  • Leonardo Carrasco (United States)
  • Kevin Polish (United States)

The Ethics Committee will include:

  • Luis Barría (Panamá)
  • Mandy Griego (United States)

Four members were elected to the Gender Equity and Inclusion Committee:

  • Nicole Glunt (United States)
  • Morwenna Miguel-Meijer (Curaçao)
  • Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon (Guyana)
  • Lisa Rolle (Bahamas)

The Athletes’ Council will be represented by:

  • Roberto Hernández (El Salvador)
  • Sara López (Colombia)
  • Adriana Acevedo (Puerto Rico)
  • Nicholas D’Amour (United States) 

The newly elected officials will serve on the World Archery Americas Executive Board and standing committees, helping shape governance, development, technical programs, and athlete representation across the Americas for the upcoming term.
