Archery Canada supports teams across many international event, within various disciplines. This page provides the most up to date selection addendums and criteria for archers interested in pursuing National Team selection. The High Performance Manager, in collaboration with the National Coach, Olympic Programs, Head Coach Paralympic Program and discipline specific Technical Advisory Groups (TAG’s), establishes selection criteria governing the composition and selection of teams that will represent Canada in international competition. The goal of the team selection Policies are to outline a clear, fair and transparent process to select archers to their discipline specific target teams that will represent Canada at international competitions.
AC is committed to selecting those athletes to represent Canada, who are best qualified to support the strategic goals and objectives of AC’s high performance program. The goals and objectives of AC may change depending on the event for which selection takes place (e.g. major event such as World Championships and multi-sport games or an event targeted at athlete development). Such Goals and Objectives are described in the Addendum related to a particular event.
