We are hiring: Program Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Programs Coordinator reports to and is responsible for assisting the High-Performance Manager (HPM) with logistical and administrative support to the high performance programs and sport development projects. This position will work in close collaboration with the Judging and Events sub-committees and volunteers in the implementation and evaluation of these programs. The position will play a key role in organizing and communicating team logistics and ensuring policy compliance and tracking of athletes and coaches. The Program Coordinator will also support the Executive Director in several areas related to domestic events, communications and member services.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in sport management or related field considered an asset.
  • Experience in competitive archery is preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbally and in writing (preferably in both official languages)
  • Experience with working with volunteers
  • Experience with survey, file management and project management tools
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian Sport System including the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and Sport 4 Life/LTAD.
  • NCCP Safe Sport or Respect Group’s Respect in Sport certification (must be obtained upon hiring)

Key Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to establish priorities and work under tight timelines.
  • Collaborative, with experience working with volunteers and committees.
  • Proficient computer knowledge in G Suite and MS Office applications.
  • Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of Archery Canada and True Sport Principles
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
